Have you ever wondered why one woman your age can look 10 years younger than you and another woman your age can look 10 years older than you?The ageing of your body is determined by its production of hormones. As the production of hormones by your body reduces and slows, particularly something called the growth hormone, you can begin to look frail and prematurely old. I’ll bet that you would be interested to know how to slow down the ageing process of your body.
Menopause is part of the ageing process. It is caused by changes in the composition of the hormones in a woman’s body. As a woman approaches menopause, her body produces less and less of the hormones oestrogen and progesterone, until it stops producing these hormones entirely. At menopause the body no longer produces these hormones and there are imbalances in the other hormones in the body.
Your hormones are produced by a certain group of glands in your body. That group of glands is called the endocrine system. Your endocrine system is controlled by your pituitary gland, sometimes called the master gland. Your pituitary gland also produces something called the growth hormone. The growth hormone stimulates the growth of all tissues in your body. Your body’s production of the growth hormone determines how fast or how slowly you will age. Would you like to know how to prolong your body’s production of the growth hormone and other hormones?
How To Slow Down The Ageing Process Of Your Body
Here is an excerpt from an article that has just been written by Dr Wanviput Sanphasitvong, MD
Pituitary function typically peaks in our twenties; after that, it declines each year by at least 1%. Because it is protein-dependent, pituitary function can be impaired by sedentary living and high-carbohydrate diets. Filling up on sugary foods and skipping the gym can quickly lead to low growth hormone levels, weight gain and sleeplessness.
Over time, low levels of growth hormones can leave one looking frail and prematurely old. Healthy living offers the best defence to combat this; it is critical to staying youthful and healthy at any age.
Here is what I think is the best way to slow down the ageing process of your body

- Eat on time
- Do not skip meals, especially breakfast
- Avoid processed food
- Reduce processed sugars to its minimum
- Get involved with yoga or meditation
- Decrease multi task activities
